Meet Father Roy A. Lee
Father Roy A. Lee
Born in Jackson, Mississippi · Ordained for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee
Father Roy Lee is a nationally recognized preacher, educator, revivalist, and servant of God with a ministry that spans decades and continents. Ordained for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Father Lee has served as a parish priest, a United States Air Force Chaplain, a school principal, and is currently an adjunct professor at the University of St. Leo — teaching homiletics, the art of preaching and writing sermons.
Father Lee’s presentations explore how Catholics may enter into a living conversation with God — through Gospel music, praise, personal testimony, and the full expression of Black Catholic spirituality. His ministry addresses themes of social justice, evangelization, human dignity, and our shared call to continue the mission of Jesus Christ.
Throughout his travels, Father Lee has presented at national conferences, clergy summits, the Black Catholic Men’s Conference, and Martin Luther King Jr. Mass celebrations. He is deeply engaged in homeless ministry, street ministry, and jail ministry in the Atlanta area — and has recently launched a podcast, “Where Do We Go From Here? — African American Catholics in the 21st Century,” as well as a newsletter, African American Catholics Lay Voice.
He also serves as Associate Director of Community Life with the Institute for Black Catholic Studies at Xavier University in New Orleans — and holds the Air Force Commendation Medal with One-Leaf Cluster among other distinguished military honors.
At Revival 2026, Father Lee will address Black Catholic spirituality, social justice, evangelization, and our call to carry the mission of Jesus Christ — guiding our community on the journey from brokenness to belovedness.
